Other 'country house' horror movies?

Hi folks.

Do you have any suggestions for other movies in this vein? Horror flicks with large mansions, plenty of countryside scenery, colourful villagers etc.

The Mummy (1959), another Hammer flick, springs to mind.

Any others?

Thanks!

Not strictly "country house", movies but you could try..

Legend Of Hell House and The Haunting

which have their stories take place in old creepy mansions.

Many horror films utilize an "old dark house" within their plots.

For starters, try "The Old Dark House" ('32) starring Boris Karloff and a "once in a lifetime" cast.

Story-wise, it was not a great film, however, "House of Long Shadows" ('83) was the last film to feature the modern "kings of horror": Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, Vincent Price and John Carradine. And the house is suitably creepy.

Cheers !

Dr Terror's House of Horrors with the "murderous" vine segment and, of course, Dead of Night whose framing story takes place in a country mansion.

An episode of Hammer House of Horror (1980)?

The one with the strangely bearded and hairy ''woodsman'', full moons and Diana Dors as Mrs Ardoyle and her creepy band of kids that like fresh meat.
