Forgive the spelling.

Is it just my imagination, or does "Me Ol' Bamboo" sound like
"supercalifragilisticexpyalladocious"?

Both are written by the Sherman Brothers, so no plagiarism...

I wasn't really referring to plagiarism. Just that they sound similar?
It's like I know john Fogerty couldn't plagiarize himself ;-)

It’s a closer match with “Step in Time” from Mary Poppins, which even has similar dance steps.

I had to listen to Me Ol' Bamboo first (haven't done for decades). So yes, similar but still distinguishable.

So I guess we could say they are similar, but you can say "Me Old Bamboo" as loud as you'd like without sounding precocious?
