Ringo Starr

Can anyone tell me how big of a part Ringo has in it? Or how long he is in it?

Ringo appears intermitently throughout this movie, though most of his screen time is near the beginning. His role as Emmanuel the gardener is not a prime character but there is some dialogue here & there. This is a rather wacky road-trip spoof film from the late '60s, one of the best of that niche genre.

Though this was in my college years, for some reason I never saw this movie until recently on DVD. It was wacky, funny, and often inventive, even avant-garde with bits of Fellini thrown in for good measure. Some of the stuff with James Coburn's Dr.Krankheit and Brando's guru were really something. And Richard Burton's lecherous, lascivious, boozy poet, on whom the wind always blew, was pretty much playing to type.

This isn't everyone's cup of tea, but keeping in mind the time of this production and the remarkable cast,it was fun in that '60s way.
