I remember watching that very show. It was just before the 1968 presidential election. Both Nixon and Humphrey were invited to appear on the show. Nixon accepted and Humphrey declined. After watching the clip, I seem to recall that Nixon's delivery was a little different when it first aired. Maybe they used a different take for the clip seen now.
