I used to wonder whether Gary Owens was being sarcastic when saying, "..from beautiful downtown Burbank...." Or was it really a nice area in the late '60s/early '70s?

Anyone out there who lived in greater LA in the 60s or 70s?

So I guess that means Burbank was really unattractive, even in that time period.
