Title of theme song?

Does anybody know the title of the theme song and/or have a link to .wav file of it?

And was it Yakety Sax perhaps?

reply

Yakety Sax was used in the Benny Hill show. Laugh in had two and sadly I don't have links, but the first theme is on one of the Television's greatest hits cd's that you can find over the net and buy.

The first season them sounds just like a theme would sounf during the late 60's. The theme from the 2nd and then on sounded more like a circus theme and a bit 70ish.

This clip has a snipet of the theme:

The title to one of the themes used on the show is "Inquisitive Tango"; not sure if this was used to open or to close the show (as closing credits rolled over the Joke Wall segment, a different theme - a subdued jazz theme - played quietly under the dialogue). Also, union rules dictated that every episode's music would be newly recorded every week, not replayed from a single pre-recorded source, meaning that potentially, somewhere in a vault there could be 141 different takes of "Inquisitive Tango."

Thanks. And with that unique title, it was easy to find a download on the Internet. I am still wondering what the faster interlude they used for some of the "quick hits" was called. Akin to Yakety Sax/Benny Hill.
