It used to be on TV land about 15 or so years ago. That's where I first saw laugh-in when I was little.
shareIt does.
Johnny Carson 1925-2005. We will never forget you.
I wished it would come back on TV Land. I used to watch it on Trio, and I thought it was hilarious. I'm only 27, and I love shows like that.
shareIt would be so far out if it came on tv land or somethin'. I'd watch it every day.

This show truly rocked. In England there used to be some comedy channel on cable years ago that showed it every night. Christ I wish I had had the thought to tape it all!!!
And why the hell aren't Rhino releasing the DVDs as whole series? I'd sure as hell buy them!
They are out on DVD now...check out tvshowsondvd.com

I remember it was on Nickelodeon back in late 1983. I worked at Pizza Inn at the time and used to rush home to watch it. I think other than an anniversary special they did back in the '90s, I think that's the last time I saw the series.
Previous runs on the so-called "nostalgia stations" have proven generally
unsuccessful, because of the topical nature of much of the humour involved.
These stations aim their content at a target audience consisting chiefly
of individuals 18 to 34, and this audience is essentially on a different
wavelength. Oblique references to Vietnam, student protest, civil rights,
and so forth, have been shown to miss the mark when directed toward individuals
in this age group. This is the group of viewers that the sponsors tend to
court in radio and television alike, not to mention the "new media", such as
the internet. This has resulted in the sex- and violence-saturated filth
and bad taste off-the-wall in-your-face humour that infest the airways to-day.
This show was really great I miss it.
99% of the time a hero is someone who is too cold, tired & hungry to give a damn.
Oh yeah!! Either put it on TV Land or on Comedy Central!
shareIt was a fixture during the early years of Nick at Nite in the late 80's. The ever-popular "target audience" at that time would have been people my age and a little older, people in their 40's and early 50's now. It, along with several other rarely seen gems they had on then, won't soon be back....

I know I posted this on here somewhere a few months back, but here again is an approximation of NAN's lineup from 1988 (the year I first received it) until sometime in the early 90's.....
Mr. Ed
My Three Sons
Make Room for Daddy
Donna Reed
Dragnet
Laugh-In
Best of SNL
SCTV
Fernwood 2Nite
Car 54, Where Are You?
And so on. For my part, they can bring these and some others back anytime they're ready. Why don't they start a "Retro Nick at Nite" channel, and show exactly what they did then, same time periods and everything??!! Because it wouldn't have enough appeal for their precious "target audience", that's why not!!! Oh well, as the song says, time marches on.............................
I remember that line up! They also used to have the Patty Duke Show too. Well, I think that if some of us doing this posting on here would write/email to them ( TVLand/Nick ) maybe they'd take note of the input and start something like that Retro idea.
I think that if they're showing Bonanza and Gunsmoke that the catering to the 18-34 age group suggestion makes no sense. Those shows were way before that agegroup's time. They also still show Leave It To Beaver and Andy Griffith so...........who's to know?
I do think if you make your voice heard and that it makes a difference.

Laugh In was far too much of a period piece to be funny or relevant today. I had a similar experience when ME TV showed the premier episode of Mod Squad a few weeks back. I'd not seen that show since its original run in the late '60s to early '70s. I had good memories of it. Watched it on ME TV and it was truly terrible. I couldn't sit through more than about 15 minutes. I'll never watch it again.share
Laugh In is now on Decades TV
