I never understood why Snoop loved OLTL so much...

i don't know..the show just didn't seem like the type he would watch lol..it's not exactly "urban"...and there wasn't a lot of african americans on the show either.

if you look at his style you wouldn't think that this show would be his cup of tea

reply

I think he stated because his mother or grandmother watched the show and that got him hooked. Plus, in the early '90s, they did do a rap storyline with real-life rapper Kurtis Blow acting as a consultant.

Why would the fact that there weren't a lot of African Americans on the show factor into it? Do you think black people only watch shows with a lot of black people in them and want watch shows that don't have any black people in them? If that were the case they wouldn't watch damn near anything on TV.

reply

and white people never would have loved the Jeffersons,Sanford and sons,etc...

reply

One Life to Live broke ground daytime tv for featuring & staring characters that were something other than heterosexual white people. Get a clue before starting stupid ass threads.

reply

Who thinks that we loved them?

reply

Do you mean because most shows only have white people in them?

reply

When he was a kid there were some very vital African American actors on the show.

Snoop Dogg seems kind of like an odd duck to me so it makes sense. It would also probably sound weird that he thinks Kathy Griffin is funny but he put in a good word for her to be in the real slim shady music video because he did.

JEFF : I hate Glee.
PIERCE : I'm not crazy about Glee either.

reply

Kathy Griffin? Ok, I will no longer have anything to do with Snoop again.
