Robin Strasser's phone hotline

I left this on Robin's IMDb page, but thought more people might see it here.

I am from NYC, and have been listening to Robin Strassers phone hotline since somewhere between 1992 and 1994. It is 2015 and she still is leaving these messages for her fans. She continued to leave them when she moved to California due to mold in the area of NYC's ABC Studios where the One Life to Live sets were; she even left them when she had a terrible cold and could hardly speak. That's her dedication to her fan base. She leaves these messages for her enjoyment and to give updates on herself, her dog(s), and life in general. She even reads stories. She is amazing.
This is a real phone number, and not a joke. I found out about it from a friend who read it in an interview with Robin in Soap Opera Digest.
Here is the number for all of her fans:

Just so people understand, thus is a recorded message left weekly (sometimes more often, sometimes a little less). It is NOT Robin Strasser's home phone number, nor is it an answering machine for fans to leave messages to her. The messages that she leaves have ranged from around 5 minutes, to some that were around 30 minutes long. I listened off and on through medical school, as I couldn't watch One Life to Live due to my studies. I am now a neurosurgeon in NYC (where I was born and raised), and just dialed the number to see if she still had it up (I hadn't listened to it in over a year), and she is reading a story (I guess she read it in parts, as it seemed to be in the middle of this story). I have always been a huge fan of Ms. Robin Strasser, and thought I would share this info. Hearing her voice reminds me of my grandmother's voice (who died a few years after I first listened to Robin's messages), as they had similar sounding voices and cadences.

Thank you Ms. Robin Strasser for all the years of listening and (when I got the chance) watching you. You have brought this 36 year old woman, who lost her mother (to a rare type of cancer - Agressive Cutaneous Lymphoma) a year and a half ago, happiness through the years.

I've called this number before and it was always so pleasant! I have always loved Ms. Strasser and I wonder how she is doing. I wish she was on Facebook!

I came too late to the table on this one! Anyhow, I just attempted to call the number and I received a recording saying "the number you have dialed is not in service." Oh well. Seemed like a great thing Ms. Strasser did pre-Twitter, Instagram, etc. But I thought I'd report the number as being defunct so no one else got their hopes up ...
