This is a 'Robert Stack' episode.

no doubt it's based on the real life Charlie Starkweather 'spree killers' case where Bobby Currier (Bandon de Wilde) and his girlfriend go on a killing spree...

However the Sherriff (Steve Forrest) hunting the pair has some culpability too as Dan Farrell (RS) discovers as he gradually pieces together the 'Bobby Currier Story'....

Guess whose face is on the cover of 'CRIME' magazine at the end...?

Gene Barry cameos 'as Glenn Howard' (for a telephone call conversation scene with Robert Stack)
