Seasons 2 - 5

So, as we have had season 1 released three months apart on two box sets; does this mean that we can look forward to Season 2 Vol 1 in June and Season 2 Vol 2 in Spetember? And then the rest of the seasons at three month intervals from there onwards? I really hope so but in all the website browsing I have done I can't find any clear commitments that CBS plan to release any further seasons. Now my appetite has been whetted with season 1 I don't want the 'trip' to be over so soon!!! Anyone got any info on this? I sure hope we get some more MOD Squad soon!

OK - Have answered my own question as I have now been in touch with CBS Paramount Distribution and got a response form the Director of Worldwide DVD Production. The good news is that they are planning to release Season 2 towards the end of the year ( No definitive date given as yet) but I am guessing it'll be a December/March split release along the same lines of Season 1. The bad news is that, based on sales of season 1, they will only be releasing in the US as the release was far better received there ( as I guess it would be) than elsewhere in the world. Not good news for those of us in the rest of the world BUT if you have a multi region DVD player then you WILL be able to order in from the US via AMAZON or other such DVD distributors so there is some hope. So for all you non US fans who currently DON"T have a multi-region player, well there's an incentive to save and upgrade!!

Thanks for doing the homework on that for the rest of us! Sorry for you guys in the rest of the world that it won't be released, but I'm so happy that we're at least going to get it here in the U.S. A friend told me that all DVD TV show releases depend totally on sales, which is disapointing. I have the whole series on a bootleg, but after seeing the official first season release, I can't even watch the bootleg anymore.

I am gradually getting the rest on Bootleg (well, from dvdstore.com which is legit) - out of the 31 DVD's though, 10 of them did not work and I am still awaiting the repalcements (although they SHOULD arrive any day now). I wouldn't normally do such a thing but the time scales for official release are just SOOO darned slow!(although I will eventually purchase them just to be able to watch the redefined eps and chose which ones I want to watch at a time!) Out of the ones I have watched from the bootlegs, the quality wasn't too bad - the ones from FX and TV Land are the best quality - the other ones from - I think, EMI are not great but are watchable. I guess seeing them in any form is better than not at all! I am hoping that, when the replacements arrive, they all work but I am not banking on that! Anyhow, will see what happens....

Yes,they do all depend on SALES for official release which is a real shame - it's all about marketability and profitability and I guess with something like MOD Squad it does have a relatively niche, or CULT audience if you like. If we can get a 60's revivial going that might do it - Dunno about you but the fashions and the music scene right now ( particularly from the UK) seems to be leading us this way so there might be some hope yet....

If it all depends on sales why is there so much garbage out on dvd? shows that are still being shown like "Lipstick Jungle" and 'House". With the relative cheapness of putting one out even if some people decided to rent on netflix it would be worth it.

All five seasons uncut with extras-PLEASE!

Nothing as yet. I do hope that they do release the remaining seasons. I have become very thirsty to see all of the episodes. I wish that someone could tell CBS Distribution that they need to release them especially now where the world is in a very similar situation "War, Drugs".
