Watching the episode "'A' Is for Annie", I could only hope that that disgusting mob who destroyed Annie's home were prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, including attempted murder, felony assault and grand theft, and served long sentences in prison, all of them. Was there no one to call the police for her, one decent individual who would not stand for the vicious attack on a defenseless old woman?

Probably not. They most likely slunk away in shame but without the character to apologize. They should have had a scene where the neighbors were fixing up her property and replanting her garden. Me, I would have refused their help. Mob mentality - or lack thereof.
