fighting...and Julie constantly being protected.

Okay. I get that they didn't have guns. I've known that since the show was in syndication in the 1970s. I even think there was a good reason for it...because they weren't really cops. They were criminals on probation, helping out the cops, and didn't have full training. But, even still, they shoul (ALL) have had better training! Some karate (popular then) judo (fairly popular then) or even (gasp!) Kung Fu. Oh, wait, Carradine didn't do that until about 5 years later. Still, Julie should have been able to use Oriental Martial Arts to protect herself. I've just watched almost half the first season, and her apartment has been broken into TWICE, where the guy knocks her out with chloroform! TWICE! If she had had proper training, she'd have been able to at least fight them off somewhat. As it is, she can't fight her way out of a paper bag! And the guys? All they do is punch people, and if they get into it with someone larger than them, they are just knocked out!

Linc and Pete are great at leaping at least-seems like they're always flying at the bad guys when going after them.

LOL. Yeah, that's the only weapon they had! Body weight! They didn't seem to know much about fighting, properly, at all. I have a more detailed post started.

I'm surprised that Linc could even see a bad guy, what with wearing those silly sunglasses 99.99% of the time (including indoors). Solid, man.

In my house we affectionately call him leapin Linc.

Good grief. Really? I thought that silliness didn't come until the 80 when The A Team came into fruition.
