Who could play Fred Rogers?

Perhaps for a TV movie about the creation of PBS. Don't have to restrict your list because of the actor's current age.

Dana Carvey
Jim Parsons
David Strathairn
Sam Waterston
John Ritter probably could have done it as well.

Oddly enough I don't necessarily find similarities between those guys. The closest would be Sam and Dave.

Jim Parsons could be a good choice, maybe Freddie Highmore

Do we really need a made for TV movie on him?

I don't think so.

Plus what would be the point of it?

reply

You took the words right out of my mouth.

I think the point would be to show people the narrative that tells how Fred Rogers came to be the man he was. The point would also be to inspire others to be more like Mr. Rogers.

Those are worthy goals in my opinion.

In a day and age where it seems like everyone is getting a biopic, a biopic about Fred Rogers would be at the top of my wish list.

Would you have ever guessed Tom Hanks?
