Need Help With a Show Title

Hey,

I remember a live action kid's show in the 80's.

It had a good witch or princess that talked to the camera/audience, frizzy/curly long brown hair, in a purple dress.

She was inside a beige castle and she would put 'ingredients' in this big gray machine.

The camera would follow along the long machine, supposedly where the ingredients were going through at that point.

And then at the end of said machine a children's book came out. And she would show it to the camera.

What show was this!?!? It's one of those things that I just need an answer just 'cause haha.

Or maybe this was just a small segment within a show, like Mr. Roger's Neighborhood?

Also, this was airing in Canada, if that makes a difference.

Wishing that heroes, they truly exist (since 2000)
