'Gull Cottage' is up for sale!

Looks nothing like it did in the show, but still a beautiful house.

I saw this a while back... Yeah, I thought it was sad that the ship's wheel and the widow's walk were add-ons to the matte photo they did of the front of the house. I also thought it was rather amusing how much bigger the real house is than what the series made it be.

As someone who has researched this show, the house, etc. a lot while writing GAMM fan fiction (though not as much lately) I always figured there WAS at least a formal dining room that just didn't get used much on the series) and a full cellar, but it wasn't finished - still had dirt floors, etc. Oddly enough, I lived in an old house (it was built in the 1880's) when I was watching the show prime time back in 1968. (Mine wasn't quite as big as Gull Cottage though!)

Love to live in California so I could take a tour.

ghostfan--I just found my way to this message board; and as a long-time GAMM fan, I wanted to tell you how much I am enjoying all your posts. It's great to read posts from other GAMM lovers and to find out more about the actors from the series.

I also recently signed up for a Hope Lange Yahoo group and am waiting to be "accepted."

I also just started to check out your fan fiction on fanfiction.net.

I, too, am anxiously awaiting the official DVD release of the series. In the meantime, I am trying to get by by watching some DVDs that were copied from FX. The only place I can really watch them without them freezing or skipping is on my computer, however.

Are you aware of other yahoo groups? They talk, post pictures, stories, scripts... and there are BETTER DVD's out there than the FX ones - those have been chopped to pieces! At least five minutes is missing from every episode.

I'll send you a private e mail with some other links.

(Not sure how active that Hope Lange group is- I think the gal running it gave up ages ago...)

But thank you for your kind words. I fell in love with this show when I was 11 - and watched the show in prime time!
