ghost and material things

As I know when I watch the ghost and Mrs Muir. The ghost of Capt Gregg can't touch material objects like he did when he was alive in the 1800's. To touch...drink or what ever. A ghost can't do any of these things anymore. Because ghost are of the spiritual world now. Not of the natural and material world. Capt Gregg touches a glass of wine...and types on a type writer. Which is of the material world. So Capt Gregg couldn't touch it. But of course this is a tv show. I don't think the writers...directors didn't think the viewers would tell the difference. Between material world and spiritual world. So what difference does it make. Well the movie"Ghost"..with Patrick Swayze when his character was killed off. He couldn't touch anything...not even his girlfriend Demi Moore. When Capt Gregg was drying dishes for Candy. He should have not been able to do that. And when he was vaccuming in the livingroom for Jonathan. He again should have not been able to do that. Because he's a ghost of the spiritual world and not of the material world.

Now I know alot of people out there will probably disagree with me. Thats fine. But as I know of the material and spiritual world. Now if I was a ghost. I could not touch anything of the material world...not anymore.

He taught himself to touch, just as Swayzee was taught in "Ghost," only more so.

It would be a really boring show if DG went through the whole series not being able to touch anything. Also very hard on the TV budget.

Of course his total frustration is he can't touch Carolyn. That should be enough.

I agree. I seen Ghost several times. There was few scenes Capt Gregg did touch Carolyn. I don't know if the director and props would know...the viewers might know. I know one scene Capt Gregg did dance with Carolyn only thru Claymore.

Did we both see a different version of Ghost with Swayze? Sure, at first Swayze was like a breeze in the wind to the material world. Yet Swayze quickly learned his passion let him affect material things. Remember him picking up a penny at the door for Demi? Floating in the air and all in front of her. Then, he enters Whoopi's body and maneuver's it about to dance. Finally, he attacks his colleague who caused his death. Lots of pushing, shoving, throwing over scaffolds.

It would appear that in that movie spiritual world, if you hang around long enough, you can channel your life force to do just about anything in the physical world.

Kinda the basis of all these TV ghost investigations. It would suck of the ghosts were here yet never ever to manifest anything either physically, visually, audibly or mentally. You'd never know. They wouldn't have a ghost of a chance. 😄
