Does anybody know the name of the girl who played Charley, the messenger for the Sour Grapes Gang? I had a terrible crush on her when I was little. PS Yes I know I just dated myself in a major way.

Yep,

Apparently, my sources tell me that there might have been as many as five (5) different Charleys, but the "real" Charley was Shirley Hillstrom.

Thanks buddy, you're the greatest. She was probably just after my money anyway, I did have my own paper route then. Yes, waaay back then I was a paperboy. PS loved the site.

You're thinking of Ronnie (or Ronne) Troupe. She was on tv a lot after that. I recall her on My Three Sons. I think she played Polly, Chip's wife, if I'm not mistaken.

I liked My Three Sons. ; )

Then I looked up Ronne Troupe on IMDB, so I remembered who she was on My Three Sons. You're right. There was an innocent fun to the tv shows then. The focus was on entertainment, not merchandising licensed tie-ins to every show like today.

I'm in my forties now, and my pre-teen loves these shows! Boomerang and TVland are very popular around here. : )
