When was this first shown in the UK?
I remember watching the show but no way could I have seen in the UK when it was made.
How many years later did it come to England?
I can't remember exactly but I would guess at around 1977-79. I know when I found out it was made in the late 60s it seemed a lot later when we saw it in the UK.

I could be wrong, too, but I am pretty sure I remember it from a few years prior to that. I was born in 1962, and I remember it when I was nine or ten, so it must have been about 1971 or 2 when it was first on TV in the UK.
shareI mentioned it to my mother. She said we watched the show when we lived in London, and we moved to the South Coast in 1972 so I think that proves it. (Unless she can't remember either, after all, she is nearly 80)
