Chet Kelly delivering pizzas
Let's hope that Chet learned the difference between Kimgman Street and Kingman Place before he left the pizza parlor and took the job working for the fire department.

shareLOL! Fortunately he was never asked to drive except on occasions when both Gage and Desoto both had to be on the ambulance to Rampart and the Cap ordered Chet to drive the Squad to Rampart. Of more concern was when Chet dressed up as a comic book hero to fight crime and ended up running afoul of Sgts. Friday and Gannon. Good thing that didn't prevent him from getting hired by the LA County Fire Dept.
shareHa ha, sounds like Chester B barely squeaked by in getting accepted by the LACoFD. Luckily Marco Lopez had no such issues... he moved from LAPD (and LACo Sheriff's Dept) to the FD. (Apparently he also served as Webb's stand-in on Dragnet.)
shareAnd didn't either DR. Early or Dr. Brackett (or both) get busted by Malloy and Reed?
shareEarly got busted in one ep, and was an especially slimy sort if I recall correctly. Those med school students...
shareDr.Early also got busted by Friday and Gannon for running book while he worked as a bartender trying to make $$$ for his daughter's operation.
"All opinions are well reasoned and thought out, any similarity to reality is pure coincidence."
"Amyghost" is correct and it was Bobby Troup who got busted on Adam-12. He was a big drug dealer, and Reed went undercover to nail him. Yeah, give a guy access to a hospital drug supply and look what happens....
shareMarco was known as Officer Sanchez in 1969; he was partners with Ed Wells when he went excessively gung ho and got blasted by a sniper holed up in a house. After working with the likes of Wells no wonder Marco could roll with whatever he had deal with as a firefighter!
shareGood thing Chet recovered at the Psychiatric hospital in the "Dragnet" ep. where he was an obsessed fan of superheroes. I guess he got out of the hospital, got a job delivering pizzas while studying for the firefighter's test.
"That mans' nuts!!! Grab 'em!"
It's lucky that Chet's alter ego, "The Crimson Crusader" from Dragnet didn't hinder his chances in getting that gig at the LA County Fire Dept. Too bad Gage didn't know about Chet's bust-it would have been good ammunition he could have used to make Chet stop with all those practical jokes around the station!
shareThis evening I watched the episode where Donnelly played the hapless and lost pizza deliverer. NO wonder only Stoker was allowed to drive the engine to fires.
