Mustangs
Has anyone noticed, that in practically every scene, there is one or more Mustangs somewhere in the camera shot? You could almost play a drinking game with them!

shareIf you're referring to the gold with the white top Mustang, then yes, it's in almost every episode. That Mustang was used as an "extra" so to speak. It belonged to Tom Williams who produced "Adam-12". You'll also see a brown Ford Torino 1968-69 that's usually seen in the same scene as the Mustang.
shareI'm speaking of the ones that are seen in the "surface street" scenes (and some back lot scenes, as well.) Almost always there's at least one in shot. For example, in the episode where they deal with a man who stops them after finding the fenders and hood from his Beetle, As they are standing on the corner, there's, if I remember correctly, two parked on the street as they come around the corner to talk. And, in the background there's one turning left onto what looks like an on-ramp, and, a few seconds later, another one looking to turn left onto the same street they are on.
I guess I just see them in these shows because the Mustang is (one of many) my car of choice! That and the fact that there were so many sold and they were still on the streets during filming!

You can't go wrong drowning politicians Henry. The Black Swan (1942)
Haha! Yea I've always noticed that gold Mustang in almost every story. Even my girlfriend who casually watches the show notices the Mustang and calls it out (especially since she owns one)
Starting in S3 I started noticing the 1970 Orbit Orange GTO (w ram air). it was featured in a couple chase scenes (S4 " Wednesday warrior" is one), if you look it's usually parked somewhere close or just driving by, must be another crew members car.
Always loved the show since I was a kid, but now it's just great seeing the old cars, billboards, etc.
Thank you. That drove me crazy wondering whose car that was (no pun intended). I guessed that it had to belong to a cast or crew member because it showed up far too often to be a coincidence. I'm surprised that they let it show up so prominently in so many scenes. I wonder if they did it on purpose to see if anyone would notice.
shareI'm sure it wasn't noticed as much when it first aired. We now watch it daily sometimes 3 at a time like I do (have them on dvd) so it's easier to notice the car. Of course it's never hard to miss!
