What Happened to Mrs. Mack?

I just saw the movie and have been wondering what happened to Mrs. Mack. After she cuts the rope and causes Tadlock to fall to his death, she is seen running off into the desert. That is then last we see of her. Was this a mistake in the screenplay or were there scenes edited out that would explained her fate? By the way, I thought Katherine Justice was really great in that role.

Anyway there is another hole in the plot. Tadlock evidently meant to be the last one to be brought down, he should have checked whether every one else had reached the valley and would not have failed to notice she was still on the cliff.
King Of Fuh is right: she runs to a certain death, alone in a wild land.

I think if I was a single guy on this wagon train I would have chased after that HOTTIE (Mrs. Mack) and also retrieved that money belt that was tossed in the river.

Finally, I would go back and settle down with the woman and the money on Richard Widmark's old farm in Missouri. It was pretty sweet looking.

However, I may be missing the intention of the film by doing so? (Wink! Wink!)

May be another lynching that would have seen both Macks strung up by the wagon train at different intervals.

I have to say with regards to the Tadbolt murder, that was a neat little twist ending that I didn't see coming.

i assume she died in the desert. the movie was disjointed.
