Wasn't this a big blunder?

When they discover they need Nitro and go out to Jackson's ranch to steal it, they had to bring Lomax to crack the safe. When Jackson takes the first guard prisoner, Lomax is right there and the guard sees him. If he tells Pierce, won't that make him suspicious as to why Lomax and Jackson are together? The guard HAD to recognize Lomax so that can't be why Pierce never finds out. Of course, with such an elaborate plan, this must be a very minor point.

I wouldn't call it a blunder.I think it's a case of the film been lit so the audience can see everything properly. To the chracters it's probably supposed to be a lot darker than it is.Some film-makers use this method instead of filming it really dark.Lomax probably wasn't seen.
