The most underrated scene in the movie

I know a lot of people complain about the con the men pull on Susy in the second act of the story, finding it a slog in comparison to the beginning and ending scenes-- but whatever, I really dig it. And one of my favorite parts in this movie is during the "Roat Jr." scene. It just has a lot of great details and offers some offbeat comic relief.

I love Mike's reaction to Roat's nebbish disguise when he first lets him into the apartment-- a very understated "what the hell is this" look punctuated by a resigned shrug.

Also love how Arkin shows flashes of the true Roat in the coldness of his eyes, even while he's delivering his lines. It's a wonderful performance within a performance.

And finally, there's this little moment, right after "Jr." runs out of the apartment, where we see him in the street and he gives this dissatisfied grunt, as though he feels his performance wasn't satisfactory!
