How did Roat die? Just watched it on a small screen.
I couldn't figure it out
shareHe dies from the stab wound after Suzy stabbed him in the stomach. Like most villians he didn't die instantly. He did the old "jump up" came after her and in this particular film the screen went dark at that instant . So we did not see him die. Just saw the cop shine the flashlight on his body in the next scene.

I think the ambigiousness of the stabbing of Roat was intentional to add suspense to the scene.
