One of the best films ever made.

More than merely one of Hollywood's finest thrillers, I deem this remarkable picture one of the best, period. The superlative performance of Audrey Hepburn is a standout, but this movie just crackles with energy and the scripting is simply superb. Somewhat of a slow-burning thriller, I found it absolutely fascinating to watch the trio's elaborate ruse unfurl intricately before crescendoing in that legendary finale of a face-off between the heartless Roat and resourceful, tough Susy. I seldom ascribe this descriptor to movies, but Wait Until Dark is spellbinding. The camera-work, screenplay and acting are absolutely terrific and the tension continues to incline throughout. I particularly liked Crenna's sympathetic Mike Talman character.

I particularly liked Crenna's sympathetic Mike Talman character.

It's always surreal to me how he truly does become a sympathetic character.

I could get behind that sentiment.

Easily one of the greatest thrillers of all time.

reply

Stephen King once called it the scariest movie ever made.

reply

It's poorly paced. Goes in circles for the whole second act.
