After the 2 guys left for the studio and the third was pacing in front of the apartment, when Susie found her phone wire cut, why didn't she just go upstairs and use Gloria's phone to call the police? Presumably her mom or someone was home.
shareWell, it IS a thriller and things have to work against the main character....
But I know Suzy knows her own apartment, not the rest of the building. What if the other apartments were locked? What if she tripped over everything on her way up there and got the attention of the guy guarding the house? As scared as she was, everything beyond her own apartment was a dark void.
Also, the movie was based on a play and had to be situated in one setting.
Susy knew that Gloria's parents weren't home (during an earlier conversation with Sam who said the father walked out again and the mother's mom is out partying so Gloria had no one taking care of her except Susy and Sam) plus Susy knows her own apartment but not the layout of Gloria's
