Agreed. Alan Arkin himself was very philosophical about this slight, as he reportedly said: "You don't get nominated for being mean to Audrey Hepburn!"

Best performance of 1967. Should have been nominated and won over Steiger in In The Heat Of The Night!

Alan Arkin's performance was good, but I think the real star was Richard Crenna.
