Couldn't watch this after seeing the play

Saw the play version, which I believe was written recently. Spoiler alert.

Saw it at Everyman Theatre here in Baltimore. We were amazed that Mike was revealed as s bad guy at the beginning - like, what?? In the play, we didn't learn it till the last moment of the first act. So many surprises in the play were given away early in the movie. When the guy looked at a note pad that said, "phone booth," we were done. Turned it off.

Also, Megan Anderson was much better than Audrey Hepburn. Bruce Nelson better than Alan Arkin, believe it or not, and Mike was better than Richard Crenna. Of course, we didn't know Mike was not real till halfway through.
