a superb little horror now out on DVD (2007)

I came across the DVD of this little known movie (in the west)in a shop in Lviv in the Ukraine. My Ukrainian wife said it had tramatised the audience when she'd seen it in the cinema many years ago - naturally I had to buy it.
It is a glorious piece of cinematic fun and still quite effective if you enjoy old cinema trickery - the flying coffin is superb - and it's all done with great imagination and way before CGI was a glint in Holywood's eye. If you enjoy the old universal horrors, nosferatu, vincent price etc then I urge you to try this film. It's worth hunting down! The DVD quality is excellent.

I also loved the old old old school special effects. In the scenes between Khoma and the witch, I felt like I was watching an early silent horror film but with sound!
