Check out Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (1970). It's rated even HIGER than Valley of the Dolls and Jaqueline Susans estate won a $2,000,000 USD lawsuit against the studio! ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿ’ฐ๐Ÿ‘‹

Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded. Yogi Berra

The already did remake it in a 1981 tv movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082573/?ref_=fn_al_tt_3.

^^^ Which was bad, and not in a good way.

In heaven everything is fine.

Do we really need another one?

We really don't need a remake. With the amount of celeb waste cases and the coverage they're given you can watch a real life version of VOTD.

VOTD wouldn't be as shocking or interesting as it was when it was released because we see that sort of stuff in the news everyday. Lohan's Neely descent was played out in the news every step of the way. Shame because before she spiraled off I thought she had staying power and talent. Oops.

Well The Neon Demon (2016) is not a "proper remake," but has very similar themes ( 3 girls, the terror of the industry, ect..) to this. It is Almost like a modern remake, though both are still very different films, dispite glarring similarities. I say if you're looking for a modern remake, I'd highly recommend The Neon Demon.
Also, if you want a film that is far more in the horror film genre (that is Purposely "b-movie-ish"..), but still has extremely similar themes/tones, the overlooked film; "Starry Eyes." (2014)
