Lifetime should do a mini-series remake!!!!

Lifetime should do a more faithful adaptation of 'Valley of the Dolls' Have it set in the late 1940s to the early 60s, have the Jennifer lesbian relationship put back in (Still don't know why that has been cut from ever other adaptation?) and the Ted gay pool scene as well. Lifetime could have two cuts of the film one for television and a racer one for it's DVD/Bluray release.

There's so much storyline in the book that I feel a new mini-series is the only way will ever get a proper adaptation of the book, I don't think any studio would ever attempt a Theatrical film again. But another television adaptation seems possible and this seems right up Lifetimes alley.

Let's have Wendie Malick as Helen Lawson. It's been a while since her last Lifetime Original Movie.

OR - - Allison Janney

(if either of them played this role, it would be uproarious to have the voice of Lady Gaga singing I'll Plant my Own Tree)

Anne Hathaway as Anne Welles
Beth Behrs as Jennifer
Kat Dennings as Neely O'Hara

Someone Buble (or other) - I can't think of his first name - Tony, of course
Joaquin Phoenix as Lyon Burke

I'm pretty stuck about Miriam - who's young enough to be Tony's half-sister, yet world-weary enough to fret about his impending illness while struggling to manage his career?

George Clooney as Ted Casablanca

I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked.
