The location where the Domain St. Just scenes were filmed is not given in the credits. But look no further than "The DaVinci Code." In that movie, the Chateau de Villette is the main sanctuary. I immediately recognized it as the same chateau used for the burning MG scene, etc. I have heard that Villette has been rented for a number movies, though it is a private residence.

The owners of the chateau that doubled for the Domain St. Juste were horrified when they saw all the fire retardant suds that were used to quench the MG's flames. Director Stanley Donen promised to foot the bill if there were any damages, but fortunately the lawn emerged unscathed.
