This movie deserves much more credit!

When i first watched this movie, I was a bti confused, probaly because I'm still a teenage and don't realy understand about the whole love-trust thing. But the second time I watched this movie I totally understood it!!! It was SO good--and am I the only one who cried in it? I mean when they kept flashing back between now when theyre depressed and then when they were so young and happy.

I cried in this movie! But the ending was brilliant.

Bitch.
Bastard.

Favorite line:)

"Quel Rat"

No, I cried too. As someone who had been married for 25 years and then divorced, it is one of my favorite movies, but it is sad for me (probably due to the fact that I thought that I was married "forever".)

This has always been one of my all-time favorite movies, and I am happy to know I am not the only one who loves it! I love everything about it, even Henry Mancini's theme song, everything EXCEPT Audrey's fashions in the "current" time frame. Yikes! Albert Finney is beyond gorgeous in this - like that French guy ever had a chance!

I just saw it for the first time, and I was surprised I'd never heard anyone talk about it. At this moment I feel this is my new favorite film. I had actual tears on my cheeks, and I'm a full-grown man. I laughed a lot, too. It was wonderful. And I love those crazy sixties fashions, and no one wore them better than Ms. Hepburn.

"Thank you for a wonderful evening."

I just finished watching this wonderful film on the Fox Movie Channel in widescreen (thank god). What a wonderful film. I would love to see this on a big screen. Perfect in almost every way!

I very much agree about her clothes! I loved them, they were crazy but wonderful and I absolutely adored her hair in the current time frames. I think that is the best style on Audrey ever. It suites her quite well.

I don't suppose I'm used to dancing

I loved this movie. and I didn't expect myself to cry because movies rarely make me do that, but I definitely cried during this one. I feel like I grew to know these characters so well and I was really cheering for them. What a special film :)

Unfortunately, I found the movie to be too depressing (especially at the end). It's not one I want to watch again.

I was curious to see it, since I have been an Audrey Hepburn fan. I have wanted to eventually see all her movies, but some are very hard/impossible to find.

reply

Agreed. I think that it may boast the best performances from both Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney and, while often somber, had its moments of joy and humor. What I find best about this film is Mancini's haunting score. I thought that nothing could top Moon River, but Two For the Road's music might just take precedence. Also, I loved the fact that Audrey allowed herself to not always be seen in the best light. Joanna wasn't always the most likable character, and I think that after a string of ingenue sweethearts Audrey was happy to have something she could really sink her teeth into. It's a shame that this film is generally overlooked nowadays.

You can find the movies on netflix.com or you can look for them in torrentz.com, good luck!

I never got to watch it until recently and I can understand the underrated status with this movie. And Audrey's underrated performance in it. Well it gets credit from IMDB users but its definately up there.
I can understand its popularity, and I loved it. I was surprised as I didnt think I would enjoy it as much as I thought I would. It all worked for me, and I got everything I thought I would get out of it.
The comedy parts gave me a good chuckle and the sad parts softened me up a bit heh. It was pretty dark at times and also pretty vibrant and flowing with energy.
Couldn't have asked for more from this movie tbh
