I loved Audrey's hair in this.

I noticed that she hardly even had her hair long and loose in other films (if ever). It's too bad because it looked so pretty that way. Does anybody else agree?

Oh good! I thought at first you meant her short hairdo! While she does look very good in short hair (as few women can) -like in Sabrina, I too prefer her hair longer. Her hair in this film, along with How to Steal a Million, is too "helmety". And some of the clothes she wore! Yikes! That's the only thing I don't like about this movie! By the way, there's a scene in Paris When it Sizzles where she takes her hair down and it is so beautiful!

Audrey Hepburn wears her hair long and down in the early stages of Roman Holiday and Sabrina. She also wears her hair long and down as Rima, a jungle girl who falls in love with a traveller played by Anthony Perkins in the William Henry Hudson adaption, Green Mansions. The other film where she wears her hair incredibly long for the entirety of the film is in the American western The Unforgiven [1960], which I always felt she was an unusual casting choice as Rachel Zachary. However, it's interesting to see Audrey showcasing her natural beauty in little to no make-up and no fake eye lashes. As mentioned prior, Audrey does put her hair down in an early scene in Breakfast at Tiffany's and on the bed with William Holden in Paris When it Sizzles. But it never really mattered to me how Audrey wore her hair. Sure, I have my preferences. However, it doesn't matter if she's wearing the famous french roll in Breakfast at Tiffany's with blonde streaks to her brown hair, the sixties mod cut in Hot to Steal a Million/Two for the Road/Wait Until Dark, or if she's the "thin girl" in Love in the Afternoon or if she's Sister Luke for that matter. She still has radiant beauty and is incredibly charming.

yeah i always thought that too, i like her hair in Breakfast At Tiffany's alot but she only has it down in a scene or two breifly, and also the beginning of Roman Holiday before her haircut. But I don't mind the 60s hair look like in HTSAM or TFTR or Charade. She definately looks best with it down though so it sucks she rarely wore it that way in the films. But she looked good in Sabrina with it short and even in Roman Holiday it looked good short even with that different style. The only movie i don't like her hair in is Love in the Afternoon.

I think she has it down throughout most of Green Mansions but i've yet to get my hands on a copy of it.

i really wish she made more movies. i have an unhealthy infatuation.

its a nice change to see it styled differently throughout the movie, because in her previous one(how to steal a million)she wore it exactly the same for the whole film. She looks beautiful with any hairstyle.

I like the short hair. Audrey had fine features and short hair or hair up suits her best. I personally think long hair just hanging is not very flattering for most people. She probably knew this which is why her hair was always up, or chin length or shorter. Long hair once over 35 makes women look haggy and draggy. Except for paris when it sizzles before she goes to sleep in that dynamite night gown does she look good with her hair down. But again, most of it is pulled away from her face and is half up half down.
