in the julie andrews role? Julie is amazing but i think Liza wud have been electric, as she always was in her youth

Interesting idea as Liza does have a 20's sensibility to her, but it was made at the height of Julie's career while Liza had basically just made a name for herself on Broadway. Same as Audrey Hepburn getting "My Fair Lady" over Julie; $'s talk, newcomers walk. I know many who saw Liza in "Victor/Victoria", going there half out of love for her, half out of preparing for a train wreck. They got more of the former than the later, but she wasn't at her best. But certainly, she would have been great in this or the movie version of "The Boy Friend" over Twiggy.
