Really liked 'The Shuttered Room'
It was so spooky to me when I was a kid. I loved how when she is walking into town everyone is glued to her every move. I'd like to see this again!

shareIt was shown on TV a lot in the 1970s but I have not seen it since.
It was spooky to me, too, back then. I wonder how it holds up?
A few months ago, I bought a dvd of it on ebay, but it wouldn't play on my machine. I assume it was not the proper "region". Still no release or exposure in America, of late. I saw it on tv the last time in the early 1980s.
share You can watch it on your computer if you want, and if you can hook your TV up to your computer with an "S Video" cable you can do the following.
On Windows XP (At least) and a DVD Player on your computer
Double click on "My Computer"
right click on your DVD Drive
Select "Properties"
Click the "Hardware" tab
Highlight your DVD Drive
Click "Properties" button
Click "DVD Region" tab
Read the instructions. Now what you could also do is download a program that will change the region code and then keep it on your computer and play it from there whenever you want. Then you wouldn't have to worry about the Region limit. I'm not sure of the legality of it but it's your choice. I believe if you own the actual physical disk you have a "Fair Use" right to use a program that way. Good Luck!
Don't mess with the region setting on your drive. Windows only lets you alter it twice, then your stuck with what you have.
Download VLC media player, free player that plays any region dvd.
I saw it when I was a kid in the late 60's, and it was really spooky to me also. I find it annoying that movies like this are so overlooked, and how difficult it is to find them, when crappy movies are so easy to find.
shareAnglico: Thank you! I have that same DVD in Region 2 (PAL), and I'm in Region 1. I will try what you suggested.
shareWas a horror buff as a child and have always thought of this one...saw it in the early 70's. So many sounds and images and odd characters.
shareI vaguely remember watching this as a kid on Friday Fright Night, and finding it quite scary. Just watched it tonight.... not scary at all. When it ended, I thought: "Is that it?"
