I seem to recall a movie by the same name, but dont remember a lot about it. I do not recall any barbed wire scene, but remember that inside the shuttered room was the main female characters twin sister, (she didnt know she had one). The locked up sister was mentally ill, but that's about all I can remember from the movie. is this the same Shuttered room?

Yes it is. As far as I know, there is no other film with the same name.

Yes, the film was also circulated under the title 'blood island'.

I would not be surprise if they do a remake of this film. The samething they did the remake of "The Wicker Man".
