That Bird!!!
What kind of bird was that? I'd REALLY like to know. That demeanor. Those expressions. That crest. Wow. Just...wow.

shareI assume you're watching it on TCM too? I really like it. I don't know why I haven't heard of it before...
That bird was incredible too.
And the actress playing Susannah is really strikingly beautiful.
It scared me :O lol.
I'll give him 20 more minutes-and that's it!- Airplane!
I think it was a fish eagle.
shareThe car is a 1965 Ford Thunderbird. I had one myself except it was a hardtop. Beautiful car!!!
shareIt's a Crested Serpent Eagle (Spilornis cheela), a bird that's fairly common throughout forested parts of Southeast Asia, but not one that most Americans get a chance to see very often. It was sure a surprise to me to see this one!
shareI loved the close-up shots of the eagle with it's startled stare. The shots where the actors are with it is a stuffed bird or a mock-up of one. It would have been better if they had kept the bird out of shot when the actors were interacting with it. Like when Aunt Agatha is feeding it.
