Only Swedish subtitles

I somehow ended up with a DVD of Playtime with only Swedish subtitles. I don't speak Swedish, but I can speak English and I understand a bit French (both the languages used in the movie). I plan to obtain a version I can understand in the future, but in the meantime, I wonder if I would be able to follow the movie as it is, because I would like to see it. I know it's not the same, but do you think that moderate understanding of French dialogue will be sufficient for my first viewing of this film?

Edit (after two days): I've seen it without the subtitles, and it was a great movie. I understood enough of it. There was also some German dialogue, and I speak German. So, there were no problems for me.

It's been a while since you posted, but I'll respond anyway.

Much of the language spoken is in English. Even so, they provide English subtitles. The funny thing is, the translations are no more than an approximation of what's said. They are by no means literal.
