I didn't think George was that stoned - it was only 10am anyway. He was a bit miffed that the electric piano that had been ordered for this sequence didn't turn up - so they chalked an imaginary one on the floor of the hangar instead. I thought it was one of the best scenes in the film anyway, but we were all choking afterwards from the rather overdone smoke.

That was a fun segment...I too love the orange suit. And the giant sunflower John is wearing as he plays the cello...
The little kids during that scene creep me out though...

George wasn't thrilled with siting on a bus for 10 days, or much else to do with that movie, or pretty much anything to do with The Beatles at all, after 1966. John was losing interest in the band, increasingly, from about this point onward.
