Luv this film!
Once again, I'm swimming against the tide with the IMDb voters. This is a imaginative, bizarre and extremely well acted comic and slapstick masterpiece. 8 stars out of 10.

shareVery good title for the thread!
I thought it was okay. I saw it on TV a while ago. Obviously, I'm trying my best here not to be too biased as I completely love Jack Lemmon but he was on his usual wonderful form here! He never ever fails to make me smile in a film. He worked so very well with Peter Falk in The Great Race (1965); what a team they were in that film! They obviously tried another film together in Luv (1967), which I thought was not as good a film as The Great Race (1965) was (which I would give 10 out of 10 for, quite easily). They still worked well in Luv (1967). I seem to remember I wasn't keen on Elaine May's performance though. It was only recently I saw on IMDb that Eddie Mayehoff was in this film. It must have been a very small role or I must have forgotten he was in this movie; because he was very funny with Jack in How to Murder Your Wife (1965) so this surprises me a lot.
The film, in general, was good. Not as bad as people make it out to be. It's nice to see an early Harrison Ford in a small role as well.
I'd say: 6 out of 10.
Marilyn Monroe: I don't want to be rich. I just want to be wonderful.
Hello, MissSugarKane:
I figured I'd see you on this board eventually, because you're very connected to all things Jack! I know this film isn't for everyone's tastes, but I loved the bizarro humor here.
As for Eddie Mayohoff, now there's a familiar face whose name just didn't register, but now that I look him up I recognize him from many films. I don't remember him well as D.A. Goodhart in this one, though. He was great in "How to Murder Your Wife," which is another '60s Jack curio, as well as the Martin & Lewis film "The Stooge," which I saw recently. He was a reliable supporting player who didn't get the credit he deserved.
This is the flick that first introduced me to the comedic talents of Jack Lemmon---even though I didn't think the film was all that,or even that funny (it was lame, frankly) I thought he was funny in it and he pretty much held up the film as far as I was concerned. I was a kid when I saw it, so I'll have to find it to see if there's anything about it still worth watching.
