What are those rifles?
Does anyone know what kind of rifles the guards on the island are using? They have to be about the most misbegotten things I've ever seen.
Thank you in advance.

If I remember correctly they are Riesing .45ACP submachine guns, a rare and hard-to-find WWII era SMG. It was designed as an intended replacement for the Thompson SMG, but was surplanted quickly by the M3 "Greasegun".
My spelling of the name may be off but I'm pretty sure that was the one..
My fault- I shoulda Googled before I posted:
They are Johnson M1941 30.06cal semi-automatic rifle, an unsuccessful competitor with the M1 Garand rifle. It was designed just prior to WWII as a potential standard-issue US rifle but lost out to the Garand. It was used by Marines in the Pacific, who requested more of them, but was never officially adopted by any American military branch.
It's extremely rare today and a highly valuable collector's piece.
You were closer the fist time. Reising M60 (full stock 16" barrel semi-auto carbine variant) - .45 ACP. Fitted with 20 round magazine.
"This is the worst kind of discrimination! The kind against me!"
They should've had more guns overall that baton bit was just plain silly.
See some stars here
