I've just recently seen the Dollars trilogy and loved them, however after seeing "Once upon a time in the West," it didnt have the same effect on me. I like my westerns with lots of guns, gold, and glory, and not so much romantics and women, should I see this, or what movies would u guys recommend?

the man who shot liberty valance got a pretty good review, i'll have to check it out. I just saw "High Noon" and it blew big time, freakin horrible.

shareWatching the movie, "Hang em High," could possibly viewed as a deterrent for crime. Public hangings used to draw large crowds. This movie may have done a fairly good job of depicting this.
It makes you stop and think about the possiblity of being executed for committing a capital crime, plus the humilation of being executed in public with people's circus-like behavoir at these public executions.
Also, this movie strikes a rather strong point about the dangers of lynch mob mentality and an honest, but hanging judge (Pat HINGLE). "They weren't lynched, they were judged."
You didn't like "Once Upon A Time In The West" and you thought "High Noon" was "freakin horrible"
