Wikipedia article on this movie

Hullo everyone. I bought this movie on DVD yesterday, and just finished watching it for the first time. I thought it was a good movie, but upon reading the Wikipedia article for the film, I have become confused.

"At Fort Grant, Wilson, Loomis, and Tommy shoot Cooper up while most of the town watches the hanging of Miller, Ben, Billy Joe, and three other men. Cooper survives and is slowly nursed back to health by Rachel Warren."

WTF? When the hanging is happening, Cooper is having it off with Jennifer, the prostitute. There is one shot of Tommy seeing Cooper, and then one more shot of Wilson, Loomis and Tommy walking determinedly in an unknown direction. There is no reference to this event in dialogue, and the character of Rachel remains as cryptic as ever in her final dialogue.
I have to ask whether there is more than one version of this film. Does anyone know whether this is the case? Wikipedia is not always reliable, but they don't often get it this wrong.
