The Most Interesting Lyncher in the World

Did anyone notice that Tommy from the hanging party is the actor in Dos Equis' "Most Interesting Man In The World" commercials?

I never would have seen the resemblance. I stumbled on it by looking at Joanathan Lippe's (Goldsmith) TV & movie credits.

He's a New Yorker by birth and had quite a different look and accent from his Dos Equis spots in Hang 'Em High: jet-black hair and beard, cowboy drawl. He did a lot of westerns in that era and was killed five times by Matt Dillon in Gunsmoke and by John Wayne in The Shootist.

That IS really cool. I'm watching this now on TCM and this is one of my favorite westerns!

Great eye! I didn't know that. Guess he came back as The Most Interesting Man Alive after being hung.

Was watching an old episode of "Twelve O'Clock High" awhile back and there he was as a radio man in one episode....young and no beard, I would never have known it without looking in credits. I've heard the voice in the commercials is not actually his, but if not, they do a good editing job.
