First; When Judge Fenton asks Jed Cooper "Do you want to see what he looks like?" at the hanging; Jed Cooper would already know what he looks like because he had bought a herd of cattle from him.
Second; When Jed Cooper rescues the calf drom the river, his horse is left standing in the river, but one second later, and it's up on dry land as Jed puts the calf down.
