Was there negative reactions to this movie?
Does anyone know what kind of negative reactions this movie received by the more conservative portion of the population? I wonder if there was overtly pro-segregation or outright racists reviews and articles about this movie.

Does anyone know about any negative reactions this movie might have received back then? I wonder about their arguments and rationale, aside from plain racism obviously.
People who don't like their beliefs being laughed at shouldn't have such funny beliefs
