I've read things about this movie. Things like that Elvis almost refused to do it. Okay, maybe the movie isn't great, but the first time I saw it I liked it. The second time I saw it, I really got to like it. Elvis made the movie for me. I liked him in every movie he did. I also loved seeing him sing in Clambake. He did some pretty good songs. For me, this movie is a treat, but that just goes to show how great Elvis was. Elvis could take a movie that isn't even that good and make it worth seeing. First time I saw Stay Away Joe I hated it. The second time I saw it I liked it. I find the movie fun. Again, Elvis makes the movie.

I always thought Elvis should never have been ashamed of his movie career. I think Clambake was great. The whole cast is wonderful. Stay Away, Joe might be his weakest film, but it's still good because of him.

Stay Away Joe, a mess of a film but it features Elvis at his absolute sexiest and hottest! Those jeans and that tight camera angle on his ass too, sigh!
