HBO stage version on DVD 5/1/07

Back in 1982 HBO THEATER made a video of the Broadway revival of CAMELOT wiht Richard Harris. This show was never released on video forcing those of us who loved it to watch our old VHS copies. Finally, it is coming out on DVD!

How great to hear! I remember it well, especially his mid-play “Propositions” monologue (which I memorised). The 1982 revival was actually better than the film.
Harris was wonderful. A framed picture of him (as King Arthur) adorns my wall of fame.

This is a GREAT version. I taped it off TV when it originally ran and then burned it to DVD -- I have seen the movie, and really like this version better, even knowing a few musical numbers got cut. Harris was much better than when he did the movie and Meg Bussart can sing -- and it had any number of funny moments without being overdone. It definitely beat out the film... I watch it at least twice a year, and now I can get a perfect copy!
